Bald Eagle coming in for a landing

Just to the left of where I was standing was a light pole at Beef Creek, Seabeck, Wa that the Bald Eagles loved to set on while watching for the next meal.

I saw this Bald Eagle flying directly at me and managed to get my equipment pointed in the right direction. Suddenly his wings flared, his claws with them enormous talons thrust forward, and he gently landed on the light pole.

I am lucky it was such a bright sunny day allowing me to shoot at a fast shutter speed so I could nail the focus on the eyes. Trust me the Bald Eagle is extremely fast and hard to photograph.
